The Artisan Collective Port Stephens is a collaboration of local artists and makers in the Port Stephens area. If you’d like to register your interest in exhibiting or becoming a member please fill in the form below.
We offer the opportunity for local, Port Stephens based artists to join the collective on a one month, Feature Artist basis. Currently we have filled the remainder of 2020 feature artist spots and are working towards 2021 feature artists, although exhibition spaces can change from month to month and can become available so we ask for patience and understanding as we do our best to accommodate this.
The selection process is shortlisted by our feature artist committee before being forwarded to the collective for approval. Shortlisted artists need to meet a certain criteria, that includes (but is not limited to) being a local Port Stephens artist, creating high caliber unique works, available display space in the gallery and current exhibiting/variety of art mediums. This can take time and we thank you for your patience.
If you have registered previous to June 2020 to please re-register if you are still interested, we encourage a mix of artists and makers and look forward to seeing your works and sharing your talents.
All members of the collective are required to:
- Live locally in the Port Stephens council area
- Provide high quality, unique, handcrafted art/products
- Be willing to contribute to the continuous success of the gallery
We welcome all local artists and makers to apply. We offer a unique opportunity to display and sell your work in our retail space, currently based by the water in the D’albora Marina Nelson Bay. We have a range of exhibiting options available, from one month “Feature Artists”, short term exhibiting artists, workshop space hire to full time memberships.
We also offer
- Social media and marketing promotion
- Opportunity to work with a range of inspiring and talented local artists and makers
- Opportunities to exhibit, sell, collaborate and grow within our gallery community
We ask that you allow at least 4 weeks to hear back, as every application is presented to the Collective for approval, and are kept on file for future openings.
Applications are assessed on a range of criteria that includes (but not limited to) quality of work, wall/floor space available, art medium and current displaying artists (variety is essential)You can help us assess your application by providing as much information as possible below, with examples of your work.
